The photos below are of London this summer (2017). They were shot in a very deliberate way: the film is HP5 400, but I pushed the film to 1600. I also used a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and had a Hoya 52mm yellow filter. Both pushing the film and using the filter allow me to hone down and really finely control the look that I want. I used the Nikon FM2n as the body. This really is a fantastic camera.

I aimed to capture a feeling through the use of a distinct ‘look’. I favour a style over a ‘clean’ image. It’s something that I replicate in my digital work, but there is always going to be a difference.
