Last week I was asked to photograph Moss End Farm Kennels and Cattery situated in the idyllic countryside above York just outside the village of Huby. A day running around with dogs in the sunshine? How could I refuse!!
We were mainly aiming to show the dogs within the environment running around and generally having fun, but I also wanted to get a few more portrait style shots through the day.
What you see below is a quick overview of the day I spent with Camilla and Emma and the dogs at Moss End Farm Kennels and Cattery.
I started my day in reception, with two brilliant hosts.
Before moving outside.
Who’s ready for an early morning walk in the sunshine!
When the weather is this good, anywhere is a catwalk…a dogwalk, a dogway? You know what I mean!
And then it’s time for hide and seek! “Don’t go into the long grass!!”
What about a quick game of catch? No seriously, can you catch?
Some have too much energy and just need to break out into a run or a dance?
And then it’s time to head back inside…
But before long everyone is wondering what’s going on and whether they can get involved!
The trouble is they’re not afraid to try and get involved!!
So then it’s time to act like models.
And then you sign the day off with a treat!
But I couldn’t finish the day without a trip to the cattery!
If you want to contact Moss End Farm Kennels and Cattery you can find their contact information here.
Please let me know what you think of the photos.
And, as always, thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
All the images were shot with the Fuji X-T2 and Pro-2 with mainly the 56mm and 16mm lenses.
