Phil and Sarah – Leeds Town Hall and The Midnight Bell

This blog’s going to be a long one! It’s a full wedding!

I was lucky enough to 2nd shoot for Phil and Sarah’s wedding on a rather wet Saturday in Leeds. The wedding was at Leeds Town Hall, unfortunately covered in ugly signs. The reception was at the brilliant gastro pub, The Midnight Bell near the canal at Bridgewater Place.

I’m going to take you through my experience of the day through my camera; you can see the full blog from FS Imaging here.

Needless to say, Phil and Sarah were absolutely brilliant, and their friends and family made for a truly special day full of laughter with a few surprises from the Best-man and sneak attacks from the Bridesmaids.

The Ceremony

The Bride arrives in a double-decker bus in the rain. So we head inside to get these crazy kids married!

Outside under the canopy of Leeds Town Hall there are smiles and hugs before CONFETTI time!!

Bridal Portraits

It’s still raining! But that won’t stop us, ‘hey, that’s a pretty umbrella, mind if we borrow it?’.

No time to struggle with flowers and umbrellas Phil, we need to get back on that bus!

A ‘short’ bus drive later and we are at The Midnight Bell for the reception! And yes, that is a Lego wedding cake!!

Time for some more photos of the happy couple, and would you know, I think it’s stopped raining!! But be careful, the Bridesmaids are about!!

One last thing to do before we head inside, throw that bouquet!!

And then it’s on to the speeches! Watch out, there’s a Best-man on the prowl!

Cake Cutting

Only one thing left to do, cut that cake and then ‘romantically’ feed each other a piece!

Sarah and Phil, it was an absolute pleasure to share in the laughter of your big day!! Even the rain couldn’t dampen the atmosphere! I wish you both the happiest life together!!
