Sam and Vicki – Priory Cottages
Sam and Vicki tied the knot at The Priory Cottages & Barn in the beautiful countryside just outside of Wetherby on 28th August 2018.
Most importantly, thanks must go to:
Hair: En Route Hair & Beauty
Make-up: GLAM by Elizabeth Daisy
Dress: Celebrations Bridal Shop
The beautiful cake: Vicki’s Bridesmaid, Lucy
I started the day with the Hasselblad 500c/m and a roll of Portraits 160 – I love the square format of this medium format camera so much!!
But the boys started the day with a kick around before getting ready and having a final kick around suited and booted.
Vicki and her Bridesmaids got their hair and make-up done in one of the Priory’s cottages, it was a relaxing morning filled with a lot of laughs – and a few wow moments when Vicki’s Dad and Bridesmaids saw her in her dress for the first time.
There was a final heartfelt moment with Dad before he walked her down the isle, before the ceremony began.
Occasionally, the Best-man has a little joke and a fumble for the rings before producing them. However, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a Best-man run down the isle and out of the ceremony room!!
But don’t worry, Sam and his brother Adam, much to the Bride’s and guests’ shock, had a little surprise up their sleeve. Keep your eye out for a particularly special Ring Bearer!
Priory Cottages have a fantastic balcony for confetti – and everything went brilliantly, except for the mountain of confetti that went down my shirt!
Time to get outside and congratulate the new Mr and Mrs Shute! Oh and pick up the Groom, obviously! I don’t know where they got that IDEA from, sorry Tim!
At the reception, it has to be said, the Best-Men knocked their speech out of the part with the videos and slideshow! The room was hanging off every word!
And when it was time for some alone time for the newlyweds Priory Cottages has no shortage of beautiful locations. Topped off by an impromptu bridal party assembling on a hay-bail just as the sun was setting!
And at the end of the night when the cake is cut and the first dance lovingly done, I love it when everyone rushes onto the dance floor!! It really is one of my favourite moments at a wedding!
Thank you to everybody who made the wedding so special – it was a privilege to capture every moment!!
