WorkshopsYorkshire Photography Workshops:
The group workshops are led by myself and the amazingly talented James Lane Photography. With two tutors and small group sizes you will have maximum time with a tutor on location. Both myself and James bring different photographic styles and interests, but we both share a love of photography and teaching. 1-2-1 tuition is also available with either myself, James, or both of us on days that suit you. We both shoot Medium Format and have extensive knowledge of APS-C and Full-Frame cameras as well. However, it really doesn’t matter what camera you use, they’re simply a tool to help you express your creativity, but to get the most out of these workshops a camera with a manual mode is preferable.
Whether you’re looking to learn more about photography or simply need a good excuse to get out of bed at an un-holy hour, we’d love to have you join us on one of our workshops. Simply drop us an email or a message specifying which workshop you’re interested in.

Having led successful photography trips to the Battlefields of France & Belgium as well as to Paris it’s time to take what I’ve learnt and apply it to the UK. As a full-time wedding photographer I love the opportunity of heading out into nature and enjoying photography at a slower pace. My main influences come from Masters of B/W Medium Format film, such as Sebastiao Salgado, Michael Kenna, and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
James can mostly be found roaming the Highlands of Scotland with his trusty FujiFilm GFX. He’s captured epic vistas from around the UK.
Both myself and James Lane Photography are experienced teachers (with over 10 years teaching between us), we understand that learning is much more than imparting knowledge: it’s about discovery, challenge, and creativity. Our courses are designed to inspire you to achieve your photographic goals or at least give you a push along the way.
